Top 5 Mistakes new teachers do

Today we will discuss the top 5 mistakes that most new teachers make because they lack experience and guidance and attempt it unknowingly. Through our social media pages, we will notify you of our new job openings in the teaching and lecturer fields, so follow us and stay connected so that you will not miss any of our upcoming updates.

1. Contact Information

Never give your cell phone or home phone number to a parent. Parents can contact you via your school board email address (if permitted. You are a professional, and you must keep your work information separate from your personal information.

2. Shouting

shouting at your students is inappropriate. Find other ways to get their attention, or punish them for their behavior. It is far more effective to address a disruptive student individually rather than centering them in front of the entire class. Understand Students Psychology and accordingly teat be like a friend treat them like they are best then automatically thy will Pay attention on your Subjects

3. leave

A common misconception among new teachers is that if they are absent, the class will fail. This is not the case. I assure you that your students will be fine and eager to see you when you return. Most of the time, it appears that a new day has begun, but enjoy it by guiding your students.

4. Planning makes your job easier.

As a new teacher, most teachers do not know which activities take the most time and how to plan, so my suggestion is to plan ahead of time what you will teach tomorrow to which class and what other chapters you will cover in how much time, as well as other activities such as (making study notes, centres, extra practise sheets, quiz games), so plan everything and then go to your class.

5. Failure to Get to Know Your Students

Your students will learn more effectively if they believe you know them and are interested in their interests, passions, and hobbies. You should greet each class at the door with a good morning. As students organise their books, papers, pencils, and entrance pass/bell work, you should walk around the classroom and talk to different students about something you noticed or what you want to learn about them.
